We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer to join our client’s analytics and data engineering team in Windsor, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data pipeline design, Azure cloud technologies, and big data frameworks, with the ability to build and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure data solutions. This is a 100% onsite role offering the opportunity to work on enterprise-level data initiatives.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics. Implement and manage data lake and data warehouse solutions in Azure. Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts. Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality and consistency. Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards. Troubleshoot performance issues and improve system reliability.
4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure Cloud technologies. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Data Lake Storage. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT processes. Experience with Power BI integration and data visualization tools is an asset. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git preferred. Understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and schema design. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
