We’re Hiring – Cybersecurity Engineer (Onsite, Canada)

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to join our client’s IT security team in Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing security controls across networks, systems, and cloud environments. This is an onsite position offering the opportunity to work on enterprise-level security initiatives, incident response, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. Monitor and respond to security alerts, threats, and incidents in real time. Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis. Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions. Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures. Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure secure system configurations and patch management. Prepare and maintain documentation for compliance and audits (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).

Required Skills & Experience

4–8 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Network Security, or Information Security. Proficiency in firewall management (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) and SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar). Strong understanding of threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management. Experience with cloud security frameworks (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Knowledge of security compliance standards – ISO, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2. Hands-on experience with endpoint protection and identity management systems. Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Azure Security Engineer are an advantage.
